In a twist that would make M. Night Shyamalan go “WTF,” there’s been a bit of a development in the free agent situation of Minnesota Vikings’ linebacker Anthony Barr.
As in, he’s not leaving.
Plot twist! LB Anthony Barr has decided to agree to terms to remain with the #Vikings, sources say. He will not be a member of the #Jets after all.

Mike Garafolo is now reporting that Barr will be re-signing with the Vikings and not going to the New York Jets after all, as had been reported yesterday.
Apparently the deal was all set for Barr to move on to the Jets, but after having some time to think about it, he’s changed his mind.
After telling the Jets he intended to sign with them, Anthony Barr got cold feet, changed his mind and informed the Vikings that he will be returning to Minnesota, as @MikeGarafolo reported.

Obviously, we haven’t seen financial terms of the deal yet, nor do we know what sort of cap voodoo Spielman and Rob Brzezinski had to put together in order to make it work, but I suspect we’ll be getting word of that here soon.
For the Vikings, it now. . .apparently. . .allows them to keep what had been a key component of their defense. Barr was said to be searching for a place where he’d be able to rush the passer more, and maybe he’s been given assurances that he’ll be able to do that in Minnesota going forward. As more comes out about this, we’ll be sure to bring it to you.
What was your favorite part of the Anthony Barr to the Jets era, folks?
