Weekend Eve Open Thread

Divisional Round - New Orleans Saints v Minnesota Vikings Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images

Good Morning!

I’m on service this week and had to make a quick turnaround after last night to attend some required training this morning. Links and words will be abbreviated today so I can go complain about work at work, however the weekend thread will post as usual. Time to carry on with our news and links open thread full of beer recommendations, nap strategies, crock pot and smoker recipes. Fire up the mock drafts and drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and have another cup of Abuelita.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

ESPN and PFF pick a “must sign” free agent for the Vikings via Chris.

2019 NFL Draft: Mock Wars, Tedisode 4.0: A New Mock from Ted.

Vikings news from other sources:

Is Year 2 always better? Vikings believe it will be for Kirk Cousins per Courtney Cronin of the ESPN NFC North blog.

From Vikings.com a prospect profile: Mississippi OT Greg Little.

League news:

From NFL.com the Broncos agree to trade QB Case Keenum to Redskins, good luck to him.

We come to today’s media selection: AC/DC - For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, try the popcorn and beef jerky and as always, Welcome Aboard!
