As part of our FanPulse series for the offseason, we asked all of you that are signed up to be a part of the polling what you thought the biggest draft need for the Minnesota Vikings is as we approach Thursday’s draft. The results. . .well, they’re not surprising.

If these results are an indicator of what direction the Vikings are going in, the answer to the question we’ve been asking for months. . .”can he play guard”. . .will be a resounding “yes.” A whopping 71% of the people that were polled said that a guard was the biggest need for the Vikings, with 25% tabbing offensive tackle as the biggest need.
That didn’t leave a whole lot for anyone else, but we did have 4% of respondents say that defensive tackle is the top need for the Vikings going into the draft, and around 1% said that it was another position entirely. I’m not sure what position they were going for, but apparently there was a different one. Unfortunately, we were limited to four options in the FanPulse poll, so that’s how we broke things down.
The poll also asked fans of all the teams who they thought the best overall player in the 2019 NFL Draft was. Here’s the results from that one:

The winner was former Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa, who came away with 38% of the vote. The currently rumored #1 overall pick, Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, was only named as the top player in this year’s draft by 9% of those that responded to the poll. Personally, I was part of the 17% that fall into the “Someone Else” category.
What do you think of the results of this week’s FanPulse polls?
