One of the all time great Vikings has called it a career.

DE Brian Robison, a fourth round pick out of the University of Texas in 2006, signed a one day contract and has retired as a member of the Minnesota Vikings.
The eleven year veteran retires ninth on the Vikings all time sack list with 60, third in games played by a defensive end with 173, and tied for first with Jared Allen in creative sack dances. His ‘FISH ON’ sack dance was one that always gave me a chuckle, and it will be missed.
Robison was cut at the end of last year’s training camp, as the Vikings defensive line underwent a bit of a youth movement, and his leadership seemed to be missed throughout last season. He was a leader on and off the field, and his ‘96 Questions’ segment on the Vikings official website became must watch entertainment for me and many other Vikings fans.
Robison was never the best or most athletic defensive lineman the Vikings ever had, but you’d be hard pressed to find a guy more dedicated to his craft than he was, and his hard work paid off with an 11 year career.
I am sad to see him call it a career, but it’s really cool that a guy this well liked by Vikings players and fans got to spend it all with the Vikings.
Congratulations to Brian Robison on one heck of a fine career, and his retirement from the NFL.
