NFL: NFL Draft Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Good Morning!

Did the Battle of Winterfell go as you predicted? Oh, wait wrong thread, yeah, it’s your fill in guy for the Monday thread. Gone Fishin is probably still sleeping after taking in Game of Thrones last night. I’m going to purposely limit words and links up here so I can hit the publish button, but I’ll add more later if I’m able. As usual, your Game of Thrones thread will post Monday morning courtesy of the theartistformerlyknownasfil, I’ll get it moved to the front page as soon as I see it. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links thread full of beer recommendations, nap strategies, crock pot and smoker recipes. Drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and have another cup of coffee.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

The front page writers have the Minnesota Vikings 2019 NFL Draft: All the picks, all the trades all in one place.

Ted has your post Draft Stock Market Report.

We come to today’s media selection: The Doors - Riders On The Storm

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waiter and try not to annoy him.
