On Sunday, we had reported that the Vikings had signed Alabama-Birmingham defensive back Mar’Sean Diggs (younger brother of Stefon Diggs) to an undrafted free agent deal as well. It appears that was inaccurate. Instead, it is believed that the younger Diggs will be attending the Vikings’ rookie tryout camp, which will be taking place this week. We’ll be attempting to compile a list of players that will be partaking in that as well.
The biggest name on this list is probably Browning, who had an outstanding sophomore season for the Washington Huskies in 2016, a season that saw him throw 43 touchdown passes to just nine interceptions and finish sixth in the Heisman Trophy voting. His junior and senior seasons were markedly less impressive, but the Vikings have apparently seen something that they like in him.
With these ten signings, plus the twelve players that the team selected in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Vikings’ roster currently sits at 89 players. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them sign one of the players from the aforementioned rookie camp to fill that final spot.
