We’re a little more than a month away from the start of summer. . .well, if you live in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway. . .and the Minnesota Vikings have announced an opportunity to ring in the season with some music and fun at the team’s new facility.
The team has announced that their facilities in Eagan will be hosting the Summer Skolstice, a three-day event that will kick off on Thursday, 20 June, the day before summer officially begins.
There are two levels of tickets for the event. Regular tickets go for $45/day, while a VIP pass costs $100/day. The VIP pass, according to the website, will give you early access to the stadium, a reserved viewing area on the floor, private restrooms, exclusive food and beverage areas, and commemorative gift.
Here are the featured performers for each day of the event:
- Thursday - Rick Springfield with Eddie Money, Tommy Tutone, and Family Stone
- Friday - Sheila E., Joss Stone, and Elle King
- Saturday - The Minneapolis Funk All-Stars, Judith Hill, and St. Paul & The Broken Bones
Most of you, or at least those in my age range, know who Rick Springfield, Eddie Money, Tommy Tutone, and Sheila E. are. Joss Stone and Elle King have been popular more recently. I don’t know a whole lot about any of the other performers on the list.
If you’re interested in purchasing tickets to the festival, you can hit the website linked above and find out more about ringing in the summer with your fellow Vikings fans.
