The Vikings released Robison after Training Camp in 2018, and he did not sign anywhere else during the season. Today, he’ll announce his retirement at the home of the only team he played for during his 11-year NFL career.
Robison got an interesting gift as part of his retirement as well, courtesy of Brett Favre and John Randle.
The 1st Viking to sack @BrettFavre as a Packer (@johnnyrandle93) and the last Viking to sack him as a Packer (@Brian_Robison) at TCO today. Favre signed this photo of B Rob sacking him for his retirement and wrote:

The gift is a picture of Robison sacking Favre, which Favre took the time to autograph for him. The fact that it was presented by Randle is significant because, as you can see in the tweet, Randle was the first member of the Vikings to sack Favre when he played for the Packers, and Robison was the last member of the Vikings to sack Favre when he was Green Bay’s signal caller. The autograph from Favre reads, “You lucky I tripped! Awesome teammate and a heck of a player.”
Congratulations to Brian Robison on a great National Football League career, all of which was spent in the purple and gold. Perhaps we’ll see his name up in the Ring of Honor one of these days.
