Gone Fishin normally posts the thread Monday through Wednesday; I got a text from him yesterday asking me to sit in for the time being as he’s got some work contract acquisition thingy that’s eating up his time including the weekends. For the time being I’ll take care of the thread until he’s got everything wrapped up. It’s Monday, the greatest work day according to Fishin, since I work Thursday through Wednesday I have no opinion, but back when I had a Monday through Friday job, I hated Mondays....blah. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of beer recommendations, nap strategies, crock pot and smoker recipes. Drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and go ahead and have another coffee, it’s Monday.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Chris has your current Minnesota Vikings 90-man roster, with numbers and stuff.
Wludford says the Vikings are reportedly looking to extend Stephen Weatherly.
Vikings news from other sources:

We come to today’s media selection: AC/DC - For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waiter, try the familiarity and Welcome Aboard!
