Good Morning!

My computer did a massive Windows update on my laptop Sunday night and caused a lot of problems with the settings. At first everything was overwhited (if that’s not a word it is now) then too dark. I looked through yesterday’s News and Links in the evening and noticed about half the stories I linked or commented on didn’t show up. As usual, I blame Ponder and Microsoft. Camp is beginning with the rookies and select veterans reporting yesterday, their first practice is today. Meanwhile, time to carry on with our news and links open thread full of beer recommendations, nap strategies, crock pot and smoker recipes. Drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and go ahead and have a beer with lunch, it’s Tuesday.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris notes the Vikings sign Tiano Pupungatoa (yes he plays gourd)

To no one’s surprise the Vikings waive running back Roc Thomas.

Redskins LT Trent Williams not expected to report to camp.

No new deal ‘on horizon’ for Tom Brady, Patriots.

NFL training camp: Notable players who could be traded/released.

2016 NFL Draft revisited: Ranking the top 10 players in the class.

We come to today’s media selection: Letterkenny - Gas station scene.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waiter, try the country scramble and Welcome Aboard!
