As they did prior to their previous preseason game against the New Orleans Saints, the Minnesota Vikings have released a list of players that will not be seeing any action in tonight’s contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
Those players are as follows:
- RB Ameer Abdullah
- DE Ade Aruna
- DE Tashawn Bower (still on Non-Football Injury List)
- OT Aviante Collins
- CB Mike Hughes (still on Physically Unable to Perform List)
- DT Linval Joseph
- TE David Morgan (still on Physically Unable to Perform List)
- OT Brian O’Neill
- DT Shamar Stephen
By that count, I see three definite starters (Joseph, O’Neill, and Stephen) sitting this one out. Dalvin Cook is not on this list. . .then again, he wasn’t on this list before the game against New Orleans, either. So, we still can’t be 100% sure whether he’s going to play this evening or not.
Much like the Saints game, it appears that Rashod Hill will get the start at right tackle in place of O’Neill, and the defensive tackle duo with the first-string offense will be Jaleel Johnson and Jalyn Holmes. This will also give players like Hercules Mata’afa and Armon Watts some more opportunities at that spot as well.
We’re less than ninety minutes away from kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium, folks! The Open Thread for the first half of action will hit the site here at 6:00 PM Central time. We hope to see a bunch of you there!
