We are less than twenty-four hours away from the start of the All-Important Third Preseason Game™ at U.S. Bank Stadium, as your Minnesota Vikings will play host to the Arizona Cardinals. This figures to be the game where the starters will see the most time, and it’s going to be a nationally featured game (if you have the correct channel), so lots of folks should be able to watch it.
How can you be one of those folks? Well, let me tell you all about it!
Television Info
Kickoff for this one is scheduled for the optimal NFL kickoff time of noon Central on Saturday. Yes, it’s Saturday, not Sunday, but noon kickoffs are still the best.
This game is going to be televised live on the NFL Network, if you have that as part of your cable or satellite package. The play-by-play there will be handled by the Vikings Radio Network team of Paul Allen and Pete Bercich. Radio Info
If you do not have access to a television, you can still hear the game through the Vikings Radio Network. Be sure to check out the linked page to find the affiliate in your area.
For those that will be listening to the game via satellite radio, the Vikings Radio Network feed will be on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Channel 88, on both the Sirius and XM dials. If you’re going to be listening through the SiriusXM app, you can find it on the Vikings’ permanent home there, Channel 819.
Referee Info
Football Zebras tells us that the officiating crew for Saturday’s contest will be led by the venerable Walt Anderson. The Vikings last saw Mr. Anderson in December, as his crew handled the Vikings’ 27-9 victory over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
Weather Info
Once again, this game is going to be held indoors, so the weather won’t affect any of the play on the field in any way. It’s quite possible that the weather will allow for the big doors to be open, as the folks from Weather Underground are forecasting temperatures in the low 70s and winds out of the southeast at around 10 miles an hour.
Streaming Info
It’s still “free trial” season for NFL Game Pass, so if you can’t view the game any other way, that’s always an option. You could also look into Fubo.tv.
As far as other streams are concerned, do NOT. . .and I mean not in any way, shape, or form. . .promote illegal streaming sites on The Daily Norseman. Not in the comments, not in the FanPosts, not in the FanShots, not in the Game Thread, not anywhere. Don’t even hint at them. Trust me on this. If you’re that determined to watch the game via an illegal stream, do a Google search and find it on your own. And feel free to not blame us for any ill effects your computer or device might suffer as a result.
That should be everything you need to know for Saturday afternoon when the Vikings and the Cardinals line it up at U.S. Bank Stadium. We’ll have our Open Thread up and running before kickoff, and we hope that a lot of you will join us here for all the action!
