The Only Possible Thing Indy Could Do Now...

To this day, people still defend a trade that cost us a shot at Mahommes or Watson, for a QB who was statistically one of the worst starting QBs in the NFL. A QB that got us a 7-8 record and then was injured without being hit in the following season. The argument for defending the trade is that the Vikings had no other options, they couldn't possibly go into the season, one where they felt they could compete for a Super Bowl, with just a bad backup QB. Trading a first for a bad starting QB was the only option, and any GM would do it.

The Colts are now faced with going into a season with a bad backup (Jacoby's stats are worse than Hill's career numbers) or trading for a former, oft injured first round starting QB. I am talking about a guy who's stats are superior to the guy we traded for, and a guy who had proven he could lead a team to the playoffs, or even have a winning season for that matter. Ryan Tannehill. He is available, and depending on how desperate the Colts are, he is probably the best QB available via trade.

Can't wait to read how the Colts are trading a 1st for Tannehill. What else could they possibly do?
