Good Morning!

What’s on your weekend agenda? We’re planning on finishing up Season One of Animal Kingdom; I’m going to put a deer stand together then get out and put a different scope on one of my rifles, deer season is only eighty two days away for me and I’m getting antsy. Speaking of dates, six days from today the Vikings open their preseason schedule at the Saints, and it’s been 952 days since the Vikings lost to the Packers, bonus...the Vikings have never lost to the Packers at US Bank Field. Meanwhile, we’ll catch up on our NFC North opponents and then carry on with our news and links thread full of beer recommendations, nap strategies, crock pot and smoker recipes. Drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and stop in at Remedy Brewing Co and have a beer, it’s the weekend!

Around the DN since our last open thread:

League news:

It’s that time for one of my favorite series every year Deadspin’s “Why Your Team Sucks” by Drew Magary. The most recent team to get roasted is the Denver Broncos. I’ll continue to update the teams as they are posted. FYI probably a week or so before Mr. Magary gets to the Vikings.

Consistent with the weekend news and links I’ll post the rest of the league news in the comments.

We come to today’s media selection: Toby Keith - As Good As I Once Was

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waiter, try the training camp and Welcome Aboard.

The reports about the offense from training camp are pretty good, what are your thoughts on the offense?
