Merry Tuesday, everyone!
Sunday’s win is still feeling awful nice, but next Sunday’s game is looming large and getting closer. I’m still a bit concerned about our passing game, as we didn’t get to see much of it last Sunday. I’m not sure why this is, but I didn’t get a very good impression from what we did see on Sunday. I know it makes little sense, because when you look at the stats, an 80% completion percentage and 9.8 Y/A with 1 touchdown and zero interceptions, it looks great. I hope to see Cousins shake my apprehension on Sunday. We’ll see.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Eric was here with the Stock Market Report: Falcons. I should have had this linked yesterday, but I logged off and went to bed early on Sunday, and it wasn’t posted yet, so my apologies.
Eric took a look at five game-changing plays from Sunday.
Chris handed out the Vikings game ball from week one.
Other Vikings/NFL news, other sports news, and random oddities and annoyances:
Over at Vikings.com, catch Coach Zimmer’s Monday presser, see full highlights of Sunday’s win over Atlanta, and there’s plenty more to sift through in the media vault.
ESPN has the final score and highlights from last night’s Saints-Texans matchup. As of right now, the Texans are down by 3, and I’m hoping they’ll pull it off, but I’ll be asleep before I know the final, so I’ll log on in the morning and check the link above to find out.
From The Sporting News, Jerry Rice said that Antonio Brown planned the Patriots move, and ‘we all got played’. I think he’s right, and I hope that if New England was involved in said planning, that they are appropriately punished, but we know better, don’t we?
The Jets continue to search for their answer at kicker, per the Sporting News. Hey Jets, I think Blair Walsh is still available!
We come to today’s media selection:
Here’s a cool video I hadn’t seen. It’s Xavier Rhodes breaking down how he goes about being one of the best at his craft. Enjoy!
We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on, don’t tip the cows don’t forget to tip your waitress, and stay away from the gravy trough.
