Good Morning!

I just realized today is Friday the 13th, that’s what happens when you work seven days straight, you’re either working or not. I’m going to cast aside superstition by breaking some mirrors, walking under ladders and staring down black cats. This weekend’s game is for the (early) NFC North lead, which knowing me is more than enough to get me excited for the game. Meanwhile, let’s carry on with our news and links open thread full of beer recommendations, nap strategies, crock pot and smoker recipes. Drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and go ahead and leave work early, it’s Friday and you deserve it.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

The Front Page Writers have all the articles in one place: 2019 Week 2: Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers.

Ted ponders why the Vikings will win, why the Vikings will lose.

Eric hits the dating scene with this week’s preview article: Vikings at Packers Week 2, Second Date.

We come to today’s media selection: Jerry Burns Uncensored - Minnesota Vikings
the single greatest post game press conference ever.
(bad words in here, you were warned)

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waiter, throw out the rotten cheese and Welcome Aboard!
