Vikings Final Injury Report

CB Depth an issue

NFL: Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

The Vikings released their final injury report in advance of Sunday’s Border Battle with Green Bay:

OUT: Mackensie Alexander

DOUBTFUL: Mike Hughes

QUESTIONABLE: Pat Elflein, Mark Fields and Ben Gedeon

With Elflein practicing today, I would think he would be on track to play. If he can’t go, Dakota Dozier would most likely start in his place, as he practiced with the first team when Elflein missed practice. The defensive back depth is a concern, with Mac Alexander out and Hughes doubtful. Neither one of those injuries are a surprise, though. If Hughes sits out as anticipated, I would expect Jayron Kearse to play extensively in the slot as the ‘big nickel’.

For the Packers, the big news is that Left Holder David Bakhtiari, who sat out practice yesterday, returned today, so like Elflein should be on track to play.
