We are about an hour and a half away from kickoff at Lambeau Field, and both the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers have released their lists of players that will not be suiting up for this week’s game. Let’s take a look at who will be sitting out of this one for both sides.
We’ll start, as is our wont, with the visiting team.
Minnesota Vikings
- CB Mackensie Alexander
- G Pat Elflein
- LB Ben Gedeon
- DT Jalyn Holmes
- CB Mike Hughes
- OT Oli Udoh
- DT Armon Watts
After being limited in practice for most of the week, Elflein is out for today’s contest. Dakota Dozier is expected to get the start at left guard in his place. Mike Hughes is still out as well, giving the Vikings limited options at the cornerback spot, particularly given Xavier Rhodes’ weekly brushes with injury.
Gedeon, as far as I can tell, appears to be a healthy scratch, as I don’t recall him being on the injury report this week. Eric Wilson will get the start in his place.
UPDATE: I was wrong about Gedeon’s health. He has been dealing with a groin injury, and it is enough to keep him out today.
And now, on to the home team.
Green Bay Packers
- LB Oren Burks
- CB Ka’dar Hollman
- DL Kingsley Keke
- OL Cole Madison
- OL Lucas Patrick
- WR Darrius Shepherd
- RB Dexter Williams
Offensive tackle David Bakhtiari, who had appeared on the injury report for the Packers earlier in the week, will be active today and starting at his usual left tackle spot.
There are your inactive lists for this afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. We’ll have our discussion thread for the first quarter of play up and running at around 11:00 AM Central time. We hope you can join us!
