Vikings Final Injury Report

No real surprises

NFL: Preseason-Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings Harrison Barden-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Vikings released their final injury report in advance of the game against Oakland at US Bank Stadium Sunday, and there aren’t a whole lot of surprises.

Out: Mackensie Alexander

Questionable: Anthony Barr, Pat Elflein, Ben Gedeon and Mike Hughes

Yesterday, Mike Zimmer said he thinks Barr will play, but if both him and Gedeon are out, that could really stress the linebacker depth.

One big item of note from last week’s final injury report: Mike Hughes has gone from doubtful to not even on the list. I don’t know if that’s any indication he’s finally ready to take the field, but after last week’s torching the secondary took early on, he would be a most welcome sight, indeed.

As to Pat Elflein, if he can’t go for a second straight week, look for Dakota Dozier to once again play left guard in his spot. Last week, Dozier wasn’t great, but he was okay.

We’ll let you know if anything else changes, but that’s the most up to date injury news for the Vikings today.
