With the Minnesota Vikings currently holding a 31-7 lead over the Oakland Raiders at U.S. Bank Stadium, the team’s wide receiver depth likely won’t be tested the rest of the way, but this is something that could definitely have ramifications going forward.
Wide receiver Chad Beebe was taken off of the field on a cart after he was unable to put any weight on his right leg.
Beebe had no catches on the afternoon, but was serving as the Vikings’ primary punt returner. He had a muffed punt that could have been disastrous for the Vikings, but Kris Boyd made a very alert play to recover the fumble. I’m not sure when the injury to Beebe occurred, but he has been officially listed as “questionable” to return with an ankle injury.
The injury to Beebe leaves the Vikings with just three active receivers: Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen, and rookie Bisi Johnson.
Once we have more word on Chad Beebe’s injury, we will pass it along to you here.
