We’ve got an hour and a half before kickoff at Soldier Field, as the Minnesota Vikings will take on the Chicago Bears in a big NFC North battle. Both teams have released their inactive lists for today’s game, so let’s take a look at who will be sitting out this afternoon.
We’ll start, as always, with the visiting team.
Minnesota Vikings
- LB Kentrell Brothers
- WR Davion Davis
- C Brett Jones
- G Josh Kline
- DT Hercules Mata’afa
- OT Olisaemeka Udoh
- DT Armon Watts
Davis was called up from the practice squad yesterday, but is now inactive for his first game on the 53-man roster. Mata’afa is a bit of a surprise, as he was active for the first three games. The biggest news is that cornerback Mackensie Alexander is back after missing two weeks with a dislocated elbow, so the Vikings are officially at full strength in the secondary.
And now, on to the home team.
Chicago Bears
- RB Mike Davis
- WR Taylor Gabriel
- DT Akiem Hicks
- G Kyle Long
- DL Bilal Nichols
- LB Roquan Smith
- DB Kevin Toliver II
We got word of Hicks likely being out earlier in the day, but Smith was a surprising late addition to this list. He was announced just minutes ago as “doubtful” as he’s apparently had some sort of personal issue come up. No word yet on what that issue is, but that’s another huge loss for the Chicago defense.
And those are your inactive lists for the Vikings and the Bears leading up to today’s clash. We’ll have our Open Thread for the first quarter up and running at around 2:30 PM Central time.
