Good Morning!

The Conference Championship games are tomorrow, and much to my chagrin the Vikings aren’t playing, then again they didn’t deserve to. Maybe we should file a lawsuit because a game or two didn’t go our way? I’ll post threads for Sunday’s games, look for them about thirty minutes before kickoff. Meanwhile, let’s carry on with our news and links open thread full of beer recommendations, nap strategies, crock pot and smoker recipes. Drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and since it’s the offseason, time to take a step back and enjoy the season for what it was.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Thaddeus Moss declares for 2020 NFL Draft, Chris says you may have heard of his father.

Daily Norseman to partner with Kyle Rudolph for 2020 Youth Football ProCamp.

Unbelievable! - 2019 Awards. BJ Reidell and Drew Mahowald hand out awards from the 2019 Vikings season.

Vikings news from other sources:

From Vikings.com ‘A Changing of The Guard’ Coming For The Vikings Defense? The Voice of the Vikings, Paul Allen, and ESPN Vikings Reporter Courtney Cronin continue their breakdown of the Vikings season by examining the defense, which was again one of the NFL’s best in 2019 but faces what could be an offseason of change with question marks about with several long-time pieces.

League News:

Consistent with the weekend thread, I’ll post league news in the comments section.

We come to today’s media selection: Simple Minds: Don’t You Forget About Me
(from the movie “The Breakfast Club”

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waiter, and Welcome Aboard!
