Happy Wednesday, everyone!
Finding The Peace of mind to relax in the wintertime is hard, especially here on Hoth. Thankfully, there are only two more days of work this week, and then the weekend will be here, and along with it, ice fishing. In this off-season slow time between football season and baseball season, my weekdays basically consist of working and thinking about where I’ll be fishing the next weekend. Hopefully I will have some pictures to share on Monday. Kiddo still hasn’t caught his first ice fishing fish, so we’re hoping to get one this weekend.
Hey, we touched on this a bit yesterday, and I thought I’d bring it up again. Jim Caldwell is not returning to Miami next year, and he would like to coach. Do you think the Vikings should pursue him to fill the vacant OC position? Caldwell had success as a head coach and as a coordinator. He had success in Indianapolis until the ‘suck for Luck’ year. He was let go, then joined the Ravens as the QB coach, and you may remember his being promoted to take over as OC mid-season, and the team went on to win the Super Bowl. He was the head coach in Detroit for four years where he amassed a record of 36-28 and coached Detroit to two playoff appearances. Yes, you read that right, the Lions had a winning record and went to the playoffs twice in four years while Caldwell was head coach.

Around the DN since our last open thread:
Four more Vikings have been selected to the Pro Bowll team as alternates, per Chris.
Also from Chris, Vegas gonna’ Vegas, and they are making no exception for the upcoming NFL Draft.
Other Vikings/NFL news, and random oddities and annoyances:
From PFR, Jim Caldwell’s coaching history.
From FoxSports, the Jaguars are close to landing Jay Gruden as their offensive coordinator.
We come to today’s media selection:
I’ll do what I want. Enjoy!

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. You might want to go grab your own drink and get your own food from the kitchen, the waiter is cleaning fish and has fish guts all over his hands..........again.
