Vikings vs the Offseason… Good morning Horners! The Good Morning Gjallarhorn gang is back after the week off to mourn the 2019 Vikings season. Ted, Drew and Dave discuss the holes to fill in the 2020 version of your Minnesota Vikings, and there are a lot. We also discussed the salary cap situation, and coaches that have left the team.

From key players on defense like Anthony Harris, starters like Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander. backups like Eric Wilson and Stephen Weatherly are all due to be free agents. The offense fairs only a little better with CJ Ham being the only “starter” as free agent but swing tackle Rashod Hill and other backups are at the end of their contracts too. Then there is the specialists, Dan Bailey and Britton Colquitt, both needing new contracts or walking to other teams. All of this with the Vikings already approximately $10 million over the cap. Huge decisions to free up money are on the horizon. How would you go about it? Which veterans get cut to make space?

Drew asks us how would we sell the Vikings 2020 to fans and investors. What do we have to look forward to? Mike Zimmer has a good winning percentage, the offense got better, and of course there’s the traditions. Either way, this offseason will be a huge challenge and key to organization staying on or near the top, or failing and heading to a rebuild and new faces.

The Minnesota Vikings beat the New York Giants 28-10
Mark and Zygi Wilf made the decision to go with Rick Spielman and Mike Zimmer at least one more year. This will be their biggest test yet.
