Merry Thorsday, everyone!

You have me again today, my condolences. Rob is off doing things in the sun today..........I wish I could remember what the sun looks like, the sun doesn’t shine on Hoth during the winter, so I haven’t seen it in quite some time. Is it still really bright?

Today is my Friday. We’re surprising kiddo with a trip to Fargo to see the monster trucks. He won’t know anything about it until we get there. I’m taking the day off tomorrow, which he isn’t aware of yet, and we’ll jump in the family truckster for a road trip, spending the night at the water park hotel in Alexandria before heading back to Fargo on Saturday to catch the show, then heading back home.

What do you think of Roger Goodell’s overall performance as NFL Commissioner?

Around the DN since our last open thread:

reidellr4 posted Unbelievable! - 2019 Offensive Review.

Arif posted NorseCode Podcast 316: Fever Dreams.

Eric shared a beautiful story called Our Trip to the Redzone. This is worth a read.

Other Vikings/NFL news, and random oddities and annoyances:

The NFL is to play two games in Mexico over the next two years, per Sports Illustrated.

From Fox Business, Roger Goodell addressed questions about potentially retiring in the future.

We come to today’s media selection:

Here’s one for Rob. Enjoy!

We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, and try the tiger meat.
