Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints: Inactive lists for both teams

Who will be watching this one in street clothes?

NFL: Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings Harrison Barden-USA TODAY Sports

We are ninety minutes away from kickoff in New Orleans, and both the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints have released their inactive lists for this afternoon’s game. Let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out.

As always, we start with the visiting team.

Minnesota Vikings

  • CB Mackensie Alexander
  • OT Aviante Collins
  • DT Hercules Mata’afa
  • G Dru Samia
  • WR Laquon Treadwell
  • OT Olisaemeka Udoh
  • DE Eddie Yarbrough

Ifeadi Odenigbo, who had been listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, is active for today’s game. Treadwell being inactive means that the Vikings will be rolling with four receivers: Stefon Diggs, Alexander Hollins, Olabisi Johnson, and Adam Thielen.

And now, on to the home team.

New Orleans Saints

  • CB Eli Apple
  • C Will Clapp
  • OL Ethan Greenidge
  • FB Zach Line
  • DE Noah Spence
  • S D.J. Swearinger
  • LB Manti Te’o

Apple being out means that the Saints will have to lean on recently-signed Janoris Jenkins in the secondary. That’s a good sign for the Vikings, as Janoris Jenkins isn’t very good.

Those are your inactive lists for today’s contest, folks. Your Open Thread for the first quarter of play will be ready and up on the site here at approximately 11:00 AM Central time.
