Since we’ve managed to forget it prior to now, let’s take a quick look at our Daily Norseman FanPulse for this week.
After two consecutive losses to divisional opponents. . .despite the fact that the good guys sat all of their starters in the second game against Chicago. . .confidence from fans of the Minnesota Vikings took a significant plunge this week. Going into the regular season finale, 66% of fans of the purple were expressing confidence in the direction of the team.
After the loss to Chicago, that number has dropped all the way down to 37%. Only two playoff teams had numbers lower than that going into the postseason: The New England Patriots (31%) and the Houston Texans (27%). Those two teams had different results in Saturday’s Wild Card contests.
As far as the national question, the game between the Vikings and the New Orleans Saints was voted by fans as their second-most anticipated matchup of Wild Card Weekend.
That’s a quick look at our FanPulse results for this week as we get ready for action at the Superdome. Hopefully we’ll get a result today that will see our team bounce back significantly.
