Good morning Horners! Vikings vs Seahawks where defense looks to be an option. This Sunday night, we have the battle between the Vikings and the Seahawks in Seattle. It looks to be an aerial assault like no other with Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins attacking each other’s defensive weak spots in the secondary. The question is, can Mike Zimmer and Gary Kubiak pull out the first ever win against Pete Carroll and Wilson? Russell Wilson has weapons like DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and David Moore to send against the Vikings young corners of Jeff Gladney, Cameron Dantzler, and Mike Hughes. Kirk Cousins has weapons too, like Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, along with the dual threat of Dalvin Cook, and the game looks to have the potential for extremely high scoring.
We talked about the offenses of both teams, and they will definitely be taking advantage of the defenses. The Seahawks have Jamal Adams, their pivotal safety already ruled out for groin injury. They have many other injuries on that side of the ball have not been playing well. The difference is they have an elite quarterback that makes up for it. It sounds real familiar to the injuries on the purple side of the ball, combined with the young corners, and this game might come down to who makes the key defensive stop late in the game. It might be an untimely turnover like Anthony Harris’ pinball interception for a pick six last season. It should be a fun game to watch. Are you looking forward to it?
The game promises to be wild and loud, and full of exciting moves and play, much like Drew’s idol growing up of Eddie Van Halen. Drew gets into how much he meant to him in the show is dedicated to his memory. What Van Halen song would you use to accompany this prime time game?
