Good Morning, It’s Thorsday!
Your Thorsday Open Thread is up, running, and ready for business. I’ve been moving more fanposts to the front page recently, it was something I did a couple of years ago when I first became a moderator; I think if you take the time to put your thoughts in the fanpost section (and let’s be real, if I like what you’ve written) I’m likely to move it to the front page. GA Skol already has a fanpost I’m going to move today and I have my eye on two others during the bye week. I’m back on service for the next seven days so my commenting numbers will drop; speaking of which I have been actively not commenting or logging in because of Coral. It’s an awful platform for what we do here, and I’m not getting warm fuzzies when I get emails back from the Vox/SB Nation people. You’re (probably not) wondering what I’m going to do about it, Gone Fishin and I have been discussing this privately what we’re going to do if Coral continues as presented to us, ie a crappy commenting platform and at this point we’re not sure. Yesterday’s thread was a disgrace, seventy something comments at the time I’m writing this Wednesday evening. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thorsday - I was informed this is cultural appropriation, but I’m not smart and still don’t know what that means.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, and Welcome Aboard!
Topic of the Day: Last week’s loss was the most Vikings way to lose, at least recently. Atlanta can’t get out of their own way, do you think the Vikings right the ship this week with a win against the Falcons?
