Two of the NFL’s more disappointing teams this season will meet at an empty U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday afternoon when the Minnesota Vikings play host to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 NFL action.
The Vikings have gotten off to a 1-4 start, though they have looked significantly better over the past few weeks than they did to open the season. Their last two losses have come by a combined total of two points against a pair of teams that are currently 9-0, but they were still losses in any event.
The Falcons are one of the NFL’s remaining winless teams at 0-5, and after their most recent loss fired their head coach, Dan Quinn, and their General Manager, Thomas Dimitroff. Former NFL head coach Raheem Morris will lead the Falcons into this one.
The Vikings will likely be playing this game without star running back Dalvin Cook. Cook suffered a groin injury early in the third quarter of the Vikings’ loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night and will likely be rested this week with Minnesota having their bye coming up in Week 7, giving him two weeks to get better.
This game will be televised on FOX affiliates around the country, with kickoff slated for noon Central time on Sunday.
