Good Morning!
It’s Saturday and time for the weekend thread. First, I was remiss yesterday in failing to note that it was former Vikings HoF player Chris Doleman’s birthday, (rip). My answer to the question of the day: if the Vikings can win when they should, this weekend included and string together some quality wins over the Bear and Packers at home, I’ll get excited about this team, otherwise I’m still on team apathy. I did receive an email from the Coral morans, (yes I’m calling them that until it’s fixed) the much hated “read more of this conversation” will be going away in the near future. I did email them back questions regarding “load more replies” and “how can I find new replies and “where is the effing Z key” but I haven’t heard back from them yet. I should probably submit another trouble ticket. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s the weekend, time to light the smoker and crack open a cold beverage.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, and Welcome Aboard!
