Yep, still awful

There’s just one quarter left in this one, and the Minnesota Vikings continue to look awful, as they trail the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 30-7 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Atlanta got the football to start the second half, and added yet more points to their lead courtesy of a 47-yard field goal from Younghoe Koo to make the score 23-0.

Then, the Vikings finally got some points on their best drive of the afternoon, as Kirk Cousins connected with Justin Jefferson for an 11-yard score to make the score 23-7 after the extra point from Dan Bailey.

It looked like the Vikings may have been positioning themselves for a comeback, but with the Falcons facing 4th-and-2 from the Minnesota 40, Matt Ryan scrambled to his left, stepped back, and found Julio Jones for a 40-yard touchdown catch-and-run. Koo added the extra point, and that made it 30-7 in favor of Atlanta.

The Vikings went three-and-out on their next possession, and as we move to the fourth quarter of play, the Falcons are looking at a 2nd-and-8 from their own 30-yard line.

Your Minnesota Vikings are well on their way to 1-5, as they trail the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 30-7 going into the final fifteen minutes of play. Come hang out with us and see just how bad it gets.
