Thorsday Open Thread

Minneapolis, MN 10/3/99 Vikings vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Randy Moss, left, celebrates his second touchdown of the day with Cris Carter, right, putting the Vikings ahead of Tampa Bay 14-0 in the first quarter.

Good Morning, It’s Thorsday!

I got home just before midnight last night so I’m going to slap this together and get to bed. By the time all six of you that comment here now are reading this I’ll be on my way to Georgia to hit the stands for three or four days of deer hunting and grilling meat. The weather looks rain free for the moment, but I’ll take my phone with me so I can post here and the ex-con fanpost to keep myself amused. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thorsday - I was informed this is cultural appropriation, but I’m not smart and still don’t know what that means.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, and Welcome Aboard!
