Good Morning, It’s Friday!

Good morning from GA Skol’s house Georgia, I hope the start of your pre-weekend is going well. I had a bunch of words to type up here but I’m currently working off the wifi on my phone and it’s slower than “pay for hotel wifi.” I’ll have to keep this short, Phyre Ryck, keep Zimmer (but that’s not how life works). Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Friday, time to take half a day off and start the weekend early!

Around the DN since our last open thread:

RIP, Matt Blair. Another Vikingslegend has passed away.

Live from the Shady Hills Retirement Home, everyone’s favorite crabby uncle, Ted Glover says “Fire Everyone. The Ngakoue trade encapsulates everything that’s currently wrong with the Minnesota Vikings.”

2020 continues undefeated as the Vikings place George Iloka on injured reserve, he tore an ACL in practice.

Danielle Hunter to undergo season-ending neck surgery.

Vikings trade Yannick Ngakoue to Baltimore Ravens.

League News:

Week 7 schedule changes: NFL moves Seahawks-Cardinals to ‘SNF’; Bucs-Raiders earlier kickoff.

We come to today’s media selection: Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers - I Won’t Back Down

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, and Welcome Aboard!
