Monday Open Thread

Good Morning, It’s Monday!

Gone Fishin and family are sick with Covid, I sent him a text last week and heard back from him Saturday, he hasn’t been feeling well so I told him to focus on his family, getting well and I’d post the open threads this week, Monday is Gone Fishin’s favorite day so I thought I’d post one of his favorite bands for the media selection today.......please note Fishin is not a Bon Jovi fan. I got shutout hunting over the weekend, I didn’t hear a lot of shots while I was sitting so I think the deer weren’t moving well because of the heat (it was 83 when I hit the stand Saturday afternoon, even I wasn’t thrilled about that). I did have some either very early or late opportunities that I passed on, I’m hoping to see that 6 point buck again in my sights real soon. When I go back in two weeks it will be closer to the rut, hopefully cooler and maybe the deer will move a little better. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Monday, the greatest day of the week!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, and Welcome Aboard!

Topic of the Day: I think a lot of us have decided the Vikings are not a very good team this year and are in a rebuild. Besides my obviously annoying Phyre Ryck nonsense, do you think the team will be competitive next year?
