For once, it appears that the Minnesota Vikings are getting some good news at the cornerback position.
After placing him on the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the week, the Vikings have announced that they have activated rookie cornerback Cameron Dantzler from the list today. This means that he will be available for tomorrow’s game against Green Bay, giving a boost to a cornerback depth chart that desperately needs one.
The fact that Dantzler is back already suggests that he did not test positive for the virus himself. He would have had to get two consecutive negative tests in order to be moved back to the active roster, and it would appear that he’s met that standard. Linebacker Todd Davis, who was also placed on the COVID-19 list by the Vikings this week, remains on the list as he actually tested positive.
With Dantzler back, it appears that he and fellow rookie Jeff Gladney are both in line to get the start at Lambeau Field on Sunday afternoon. They pair have had some rough going to start out, but I think pretty much everyone expected that.
The Vikings will have Cameron Dantzler against Green Bay tomorrow, though, and hopefully he can help the Vikings’ defense out against that passing attack.
