Good Morning, It’s Thorsday!

Your Thorsday Open Thread is up, running, and ready for business. I’m off service for the next seven days so I’ll be here more often. Two weeks from today I plan on sliding into a deer stand for an evening hunt, more importantly I’ll be spending time in the woods away from people. Mentioned in the mythical words up here yesterday, please keep Gone Fishin’s family in your thoughts...if you don’t know what I’m talking about go read yesterday’s mythical words. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thorsday - I was informed this is cultural appropriation, but I’m not smart and still don’t know what that means.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Norse Code Podcast Episode 342: Tenuous But Fun to Talk About. The Vikings win! The Vikings get O’Brien fired! Justin Jefferson continues to shine! Arif and James are back to talk about the Vikings first win of the season and how it came to be.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, and Welcome Aboard!

Topic of the Day: If the Vikings pull off a seemingly improbable win at Seattle, does that change your outlook on the 0-3 start of the season?
