It’s still tied at Lambeau

It’s halftime of this NFC North matchup, and the Minnesota Vikings are tied with the Green Bay Packers, 14-14.

The Packers had the ball when the quarter started, and they pushed the ball down the field again with little resistance. The Packers converted a 4th-and-1 deep in Minnesota territory to keep the drive going, and they polished things off with another Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams touchdown pass, this one from a yard out to give them back the lead at 14-7.

The Vikings, just as they did after the Packers’ first possession, answered with a touchdown of their own, and it was another one for Dalvin Cook as he went in from a yard out. Dan Bailey was good on the extra point again, and the score was again tied at 14-14.

That’s the entire story for this one, folks. The Vikings have had two possessions and scored two touchdowns. The Packers have had three possessions (including one at the end of the half) and scored two touchdowns. The Vikings will get the football coming out of the locker room at halftime.

The Vikings’ offense has been efficient, running almost entirely through Dalvin Cook. He has carried the ball 13 times for 74 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Vikings. Minnesota’s pass offense has been efficient, with Kirk Cousins completing 7-of-8 passes for 75 yards and, more importantly, no turnovers. Justin Jefferson (19 yards) and Adam Thielen (15 yards) have a pair of catches each, while Irv Smith (15 yards), Dalvin Cook (13 yards) and Kyle Rudolph (12 yards) each have a reception.

We are tied at Lambeau Field as we go into the locker room, as the Packers and Vikings are knotted at 14-14. Come on in and join us for the third quarter of play!
