We missed this last week when it came up, but this week we want to make sure we make this right.
After his career-high 206-yard performance in the Minnesota Vikings’ victory over the Detroit Lions this past Sunday, running back Dalvin Cook has been nominated for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week Award! He was nominated for. . .and won. . .the award last week as well.
Cook gained his 206 yards on just 22 carries, averaging 9.4 yards every time he carried the football in the Vikings’ 34-20 win over their NFC North rivals. He also found the end zone two times, giving him six total touchdowns in his last two games.
Cook’s competition this week. . .such as it is. . .consists of Arizona Cardinals’ quarterback Kyler Murray (106 yards and a TD on 11 carries) and Jacksonville Jaguars’ running back James Robinson (99 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries).
You can vote at either the NFL.com page for the FedEx Air and Ground Awards, or in the Twitter poll below. As you can see, though, Cook appears to be well on his way to winning the award for a second straight week.
Here’s hoping that Dalvin Cook can pick up his second consecutive FedEx Ground Player of the Week Award!
