It’s time for the Minnesota Vikings’ lone Monday Night Football appearance of the 2020 NFL season! This year’s game is the team’s annual trip to their personal house of horrors, Soldier Field, to take on their NFC North rivals, the Chicago Bears.
This will be the Vikings’ third straight game against an NFC North opponent, and they’ll be looking for their third straight win after knocking off the Green Bay Packers in Week 8 and the Detroit Lions in Week 9. After a 1-5 start, a win would get the purple to 4-5 going into a three-game homestand that features three very winnable games.
The Bears, on the other hand, are trending in the opposite direction. After getting off to a 5-1 start, they’ve dropped three consecutive games. They’ll be looking to stop the bleeding going into their bye week.
The Vikings are just 2-4 at Soldier Field under Mike Zimmer, not having won there since the 2017 season, a game that was also played on a Monday night. Zimmer will also be looking to defeat Matt Nagy head-to-head for the first time since the latter became Chicago’s head coach.
Kickoff for this one is scheduled for 7:20 PM Central time and the game will be aired on ESPN.
