We are a little less than ninety minutes away from kickoff at Soldier Field in Chicago, and the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears have both released their inactive lists for tonight’s contest. Let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both sides, starting with the visiting team.

Minnesota Vikings

  • DE Jordan Brailford
  • LB Ryan Connelly
  • CB Cameron Dantzler
  • DT James Lynch
  • WR Tajae Sharpe
  • TE Irv Smith Jr.

The Vikings did not have to include Dru Samia on their list after his COVID-19 diagnosis. Based on the final injury reports, no real surprises for the Vikings with their inactive list.

And now, on to the home team

Chicago Bears

  • LB Trevis Gipson
  • DT John Jenkins
  • S Sherrick McManis
  • OL Sam Mustipher
  • RB David Montgomery
  • DT Anthony Rush
  • QB Mitchell Trubisky

The Bears had already declared four of their players (Jenkins, McManis, Montgomery, and Trubisky) out for this one, and they had Mustipher as doubtful. All of the players the Bears had listed as “questionable” are active for tonight’s contest.

Those are the players that will be watching in street clothes tonight, folks. We’ll have our Open Thread for the first quarter up and running at around 6:15 PM Central time, an hour before things kick off in Chicago.
