As we know, Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver Adam Thielen was not a part of the team’s thrilling 28-27 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon, as he is still on the reserve/COVID-19 list. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t every bit as into the victory as his teammates were, as his wife Caitlin was kind enough to show us via an Instagram story just after the game.
(I can’t embed the story here for whatever reason. You’ll just have to click on the link there and follow along.)
There are two different parts to the story. The first is Thielen’s reaction to there being a flag on the long pass from Kirk Cousins to Kyle Rudolph that set the Vikings up with first-and-goal with under a minute remaining. The second is his reaction to Cousins’ third touchdown pass of the day, the 10-yarder to Chad Beebe that tied the game for the Vikings and led to the Dan Bailey extra point that gave them the lead.
It’s always nice to get a “behind the scenes” look at these sorts of things, particularly when it’s a guy as prominent as Thielen. Even while sitting at home, he was cheering his teammates to victory and getting pretty emotional about the way things ended.
He really is “one of us,” eh?
