With the cornerback room continuing to look like a M*A*S*H unit, the Minnesota Vikings have added yet another player from an opposing practice squad.

The Vikings have signed cornerback Dylan Mabin from the practice squad of the Las Vegas Raiders and added him to the 53-man roster.

The Raiders signed Mabin as an undrafted free agent out of Fordham following the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent the entire 2019 season on their practice squad, and was brought back to their practice squad following the final cuts this season as well. He was brought up to the Raiders’ active roster a couple of weeks ago and played some snaps in the team’s 45-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After that, he was moved back to the practice squad.

As of now, the Vikings have just three healthy cornerbacks on the roster in rookie Jeff Gladney, Kris Boyd, and Chris Jones (who the team claimed off of waivers last week). Mabin will not be available for the Vikings this week as he goes through COVID-19 protocols, but should be ready to go after this week’s game.

Three of the Vikings other four cornerbacks (Cameron Dantzler, Mark Fields, and Holton Hill) have missed the first two days of practice this week, while rookie Harrison Hand has been limited with a hamstring issue.

The Vikings continue to make moves at cornerback. Hopefully some of their injured players can get healthy sooner rather than later.
