We’re through the first quarter at Raymond James Stadium, and we have a scoreless game thus far between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and your Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings got the ball first in this one as the Buccaneers won the toss and deferred to the second half. Minnesota pushed all the way down to the Tampa 32-yard line, but Cousins was sacked by Shaq Barrett on a third-down attempt and the Vikings were forced to punt.
Tampa didn’t do much with their opening possession, picking up one first down before punting it away. The Vikings started inside of their own 20-yard line, but put together a very nice drive and pushed deep into Tampa territory once again. The drive will stretch into the second quarter, as the Vikings are now set up with a first-and-goal at the Tampa 5-yard line.
That was pretty much all the action from the first quarter, folks. The Vikings are on the doorstep as we move to the second quarter. Can they cash in? Join us and find out!
