It’s that time of the week where NFL teams start releasing injury reports, and the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears are no different. They’ve both released their first injury reports of the week as they prepare for Sunday’s game at U.S. Bank Stadium, so let’s take a look at those now.
As always, we will start with the visiting team.
Did Not Participate
- S Deon Bush (foot)
- CB Jaylon Johnson (shoulder)
- CB Buster Skrine (concussion)
Limited Participation
No players listed
Full Participation
- TE Jimmy Graham (hip)
- LB Khalil Mack (shoulder)
- WR Darnell Mooney (knee)
- LB James Vaughters (knee)
Johnson and Skrine are a couple of the Bears’ top cornerbacks, so if they’re out on Sunday they could find themselves short-handed trying to keep up with Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. Their statuses will bear monitoring throughout the week.
And now, on to the home team.
Did Not Participate
- FB C.J. Ham (quad)
- LB Eric Kendricks (calf)
- RB Alexander Mattison (illness)
- TE Kyle Rudolph (foot)
- DT Armon Watts (back)
Limited Participation
- DE Jordan Brailford (knee)
Full Participation
- DE D.J. Wonnum (ankle)
Ham and Watts both apparently suffered injuries during the game against Tampa. I don’t think Ham missed very many of his regular snaps in that one, but I’m not sure how Watts fared with his back issue during last weekend’s loss. Kendricks is obviously the big one again, and hopefully he’ll be back for this week’s game.
Those are your initial injury reports for the Bears and Vikings, folks. We’ll have the interim reports for you tomorrow afternoon.
