Two big names out for the purple

NFL: Tennessee Titans at Minnesota Vikings Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

With kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium a little less than 48 hours away, we’ve gotten the final injury reports for both the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears as they prepare for Sunday’s NFC North showdown. Let’s take a look at the bumps and bruises, starting with the visiting side.

Only one player has officially been ruled out for Chicago, as cornerback Buster Skrine is still dealing with the effects of a concussion. The Bears have plenty of other injury issues, however, as they have five players listed as questionable. The most notable one is, obviously, Khalil Mack. Mack returned to practice in a limited capacity on Friday after sitting out on Thursday. Rookie cornerback Jaylon Johnson has also been listed as questionable by the Bears despite not practicing all week.

Now, on to the home team.

Minnesota Vikings Week 15 Injury Report

Eric Kendricks will miss his third straight game this week with the calf injury he suffered while warming up for the Jacksonville game back in Week 13. He’s obviously a huge part of the Vikings’ defense and his absence was felt last week against Tampa Bay, so hopefully the Vikings have come up with ways to mitigate that. Kyle Rudolph will also miss his second straight game with his foot issue. Hopefully Irv Smith Jr. and Tyler Conklin can continue to step up the way they did last weekend.

Running back Alexander Mattison returned to practice in full on Friday and is listed as questionable. Mattison has missed the last two games after undergoing an appendectomy the night before the game against Jacksonville.

Those are your final injury reports for this week, folks. We’ll have plenty more coverage of this one as we get closer to kickoff.
