Merry Wednesday, everyone!
Man, these 5-day work weeks seem long after the long break last week. I think that the week following a 3-day work week should be changed to a 4-day work week. You know, that way it isn’t such an abrupt adjustment, kinda’ ease back into things. I dunno, they never seem to like my ideas.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
From Chris, the Vikings waived LS Austin Cutting and LB Hardy Nickerson. Cutting was cut, but it wasn’t Cutting who did the cutting.
Arif was here! For your listening pleasure, he brings you Norse Code Podcast Episode 355: Mania is a Complicated Emotion.
cka2nd brings you another installment of Tracking PFF’s 2020 Player Season Grades Game-by-Game: Game 11.
reidellr4 is back with the latest episode of Unbelievable! In The Hunt.
Other Vikings/NFL news, and random oddities and annoyances:
From the Twin Cities Press, Gary Kubiak said that Dalvin Cook has been ‘beat up’ in recent games.
Good news for Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez, he said that cancer surgery went well, per NFL.com.
Also from NFL.com, three things to watch for in the Ravens-Steelers matchup. That’s IF they ever play the game, I wonder why that game gets postponed 300 times but the Broncos have to put the popcorn salesman in to play quarterback?
We come to today’s media selection:
In the interst of equal time, since we had Sad Cat Diary yesterday, we’ll play the Sad Dog Diary today. Enjoy!
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Take the gender hatred elsewhere, it won’t be tolerated
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-If discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on, don’t forget to tip your waitress (from a minimum of six feet away, of course), and try the tiger meat.
