Happy Hump Day, everyone!

We’ve reached Wednesday, and Wednesda is Friday this week for many of us, so Happy Friday! Does anyone have smoker plans for the Christmas weekend? I would if we were home, but we’re heading out to the wilds of Montana to visit my wife’s side of the family, so I expect to be busy working on something. Her dad and I normally have a project waiting when the other of us visits, that way, we have a “get out of the house free” card if we need one. It’s a must-have with any large family gathering.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

cka2nd has his latest, with Tracking PFF’s 2020 Player Season Grades: Game 14, Dec. 20, 2020, vs. Chicago.

Wludford takes a look ahead to see what may lie in store for the Vikings.

Chris shared the news that Yannick Ngakoue does not make Pro Bowl.

Arif posted his latest Norse Code Podcast Episode 361: Establishing the Offseason (with guest Seth Galina).

Other Vikings/NFL news and random oddities and annoyances;

Teams can begin interviewing employed head coaching candidates today, per I don’t like this rule.

We come to today’s media selection:

Here’s another great Christmas tune. Enjoy!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Take the gender hatred elsewhere, it won’t be tolerated
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-If discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on, don’t forget to tip your waitress (from a minimum of six feet away, of course), and try the season, it’ll leave a bad taste in your mouth.
