Good Morning, It’s Thorsday!
I’m off service for the first time in seven days and let me tell you it’s great to not have to work for a while. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends for the last three weeks or so, I’m really looking forward to my nap about 10am this morning. I’ll be putting up Christmas lights and getting a tree today (single sourced and organic of course). I hope to go hunting sometime this weekend, the temperatures look to be in a range of 28-55 so I’m thinking about sitting all day in one or two stands with a coffee refill and a recharge of my phone at noon. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s Thorsday - I was informed this is cultural appropriation, but I’m not smart and still don’t know what that means.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
2020 NFL Week 13: Jacksonville Jaguars at Minnesota Vikings.
Jaguars at Vikings: Initial injury reports for both teams.
Vikings activate Adam Thielen from COVID-19 list.

2020 ‘My Cause My Cleats’ Campaign Helps Vikings Show Support.

What we learned from Steelers’ win over Ravens on Wednesday.
Steelers LB Bud Dupree (ACL) likely done for season.
2021 NFL Draft order: Eagles No. 6; Lions slip into top 10.
2020 NFL playoff picture: Seven fringe teams I’m not counting out.
We come to today’s media selection: Led Zepplin - When the Levee Breaks
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, wear a mask and Welcome Aboard!
