When the Minnesota Vikings finish their 2020 season against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, they will do so without one of their primary stars.
Running back Dalvin Cook has returned to his home in Miami following the passing of his father. The team has already declared that he will not be at Sunday’s game in Detroit.
Cook’s father, James, was just 46 years of age when he passed away. He reportedly suffered from complications due to diabetes, but we won’t speculate about the cause of death and will wait until something more official is declared.
The football aspect of this is not what’s important. What’s important is that the Cook family has suffered a significant loss and that the family can certainly use whatever positive thoughts and prayers you can spare at the present time.
We here at The Daily Norseman want to send our condolences to the family and friends of James Cook following his passing.
